Raleigh, NC
A popular spot for light French cuisine, Simply Crêpes has several locations in the greater Raleigh area. The location we stopped at was in the idyllic French-themed Lafayette Village in North Raleigh. The restaurant featured French countryside decor and hosted an open kitchen and coffee bar.
Customers can order takeout for a majority of the menu and make reservations online to ensure a table. Simply Crêpes also has specials on certain days of the week, like “children eat free on Fridays”. I’d recommend checking their website for details as they change often.

A popular menu item, the buttermilk biscuits were served with creamy butter and jam. It’s suggested to put in that order when you pick drinks so they can make it fresh. Pair the biscuits with a hot coffee for a perfect picnic takeout!
The classic Simply Strawberry crepes were amazing. We added the optional bananas (in an attempt to be healthy) and they brought the dish up to the next level!
The savory Breakfast crepe includes scrambled eggs, cheddar, and your choice of meat. The bacon was crispy and salty which complemented the crepe and eggs flavors.
A seasonal special, the Short Rib Breakfast Burrito was similar to the Breakfast crepe but replaced the meat choice with 5-hour braised short rib and added avocado and cilantro. We hope they put it on the permanent menu- it was delicious!
