Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
- ¼ cup oyster sauce
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil divided
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 teaspoons ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic minced
- 1-1.25 pounds pork tenderloin thinly sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, chicken broth, sugar, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Set aside.
- Heat ½ tablespoon of oil in a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add the broccoli and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
- Add the ginger paste and minced garlic to the pan and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside.
- Add in the remaining ½ tablespoon of oil and increase the heat to medium-high.
- Season the pork pieces with a little salt and pepper and add to the pan in a single layer for even cooking. You may have to cook your meat in batches. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
- Lower the heat back to medium and add the broccoli back to the pan. Cook for 2 more minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a tablespoon of water.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the pork and broccoli; cook for 30 seconds. Add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for another 1 minute or until sauce thickens.
- Serve immediately.
