Ingredients

  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil divided
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1-1.25 pounds pork tenderloin thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, chicken broth, sugar, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Set aside.
  • Heat ½ tablespoon of oil in a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add the broccoli and cook until tender, about 4 minutes.
  • Add the ginger paste and minced garlic to the pan and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove the broccoli from the pan and set aside.
  • Add in the remaining ½ tablespoon of oil and increase the heat to medium-high.
  • Season the pork pieces with a little salt and pepper and add to the pan in a single layer for even cooking. You may have to cook your meat in batches. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Lower the heat back to medium and add the broccoli back to the pan. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a tablespoon of water.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the pork and broccoli; cook for 30 seconds. Add the cornstarch mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for another 1 minute or until sauce thickens.
  • Serve immediately.
