A two-floor restaurant located in historic Downtown Pinehurst, NC, Dugan’s Pub is the perfect place to grab a drink and some dinner after a round of golf or for a family night out. There’s live music and karaoke nights, a darts wall- play a game while waiting for your meal!- and a wide variety of beer on tap. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait! This pub can get packed with locals and visitors alike, making for a fun, but busier night out.
We tried several menu items, including the Carolina Burger, Burger in a Bowl, Grilled Reuben Sandwich, and the Pimento Cheese appetizer.
The Carolina Burger consisted of a smoky burger, fresh coleslaw, chili, and the perfect amount of mustard on toasted Brioche buns. The Carolina flavor-inspired coleslaw and mustard were standout stars on this instant favorite.
A new take on burgers, the Burger in a Bowl was an instant classic. There was nothing fancy on it, but a crisp salad, charred medium-well burger, hickory-smoked bacon, and liquid salad dressing made for a delicious dinner.
The last entrée on the table was a toasted Reuben sandwich. It had all the familiar tastes with thinly sliced corned beef, flavorful sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. It was then topped with 1000 Island dressing on perfectly grilled rye bread.
The table appetizer was pimento cheese with diced tomatoes and a side of crispy chips. It was a cold appetizer, which we weren’t expecting but it was still a perfect compliment to the warmer entrees.
