Ranch, garlic, and spice make The Ultimate Pretzel Mix simply irresistible. The combination of these flavors with salty pretzels and cheese crackers have people coming back for more.
Variations
Cheese crackers – I originally made this recipe with only pretzels and added the cheese crackers in recent years. Making this mix using all pretzels is the first tried and true winner.
Spice – For a spicier mix, increase the cayenne pepper to 1 teaspoon and for a milder version, decrease it to 1/2 teaspoon.
Storage
The Ultimate Pretzel Mix can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for a week.
The Ultimate Pretzel Mix
Ranch, garlic, and spice make this snack mix irresistible.

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 8 ounces mini pretzels I use Snyder's of Hanover Snap pretzels
- 8 ounces cheese crackers I use the Extra Big Cheez-its
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°F.
- In a medium bowl or 2-cup measuring cup, mix together the vegetable oil, dry ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Put the pretzels and cheese crackers in a large baking pan such as a roasting pan. Pour the vegetable oil mixture over the pretzels and coat well.
- Bake pretzels uncovered in the oven for 2 hours. Stir every 30 minutes to make sure the seasoning coats the snack mix well.
- Remove from the oven and cool on a baking rack.
Notes
This snack mix will keep in an airtight container on the counter for a week. They honestly could keep well for longer, but my batch has never made it that far.
