Korean Spinach Side Dish
An easy side dish for Asian meals that is seasoned with soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil.
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 16 ounces spinach leaves washed
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 stalks green onion chopped
- 3 teaspoons soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot and blanch the spinach for about 1 minute.
- Strain the spinach and rinse under cold water. Then squeeze out the excess water. The spinach will be in a ball shaped from squeezing the water out.
- Cut the spinach ball a few times to get bite sized pieces.
- In a medium bowl, add the spinach, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Mix thoroughly with chopsticks or by hand.
- Serve immediately or chill until serving.
