Fuji Bakery is a “local artisan Japanese French bakery” located in the International District of Seattle. They are committed to using the highest quality ingredients and offer customers a true Japan bakery experience.
Their best sellers range from the beef curry pan to croissants, malasadas, and white bread Shokupan.
Since they had always been on my radar, I was delight to finally try Fuji Bakery. We ordered two of their most popular malasadas; the crunchy cream and ube. We also got one of their beef curry pan, a milk stick, two quiche, and a whole Japanese strawberry shortcake.
One of the standout items we tried was the mundane sounding milk stick. I loved it! It is their signature milk buttercream in a soft Japanese milk bread baguette. The buttercream was creamy with a comforting vanilla flavor.
The strawberry shortcake was also amazing. True to Asian tastes, the cake was soft, light, and the right touch of sweetness. It was filled with and outstanding strawberry gelee and a fresh vanilla cream chantilly. I could easily have eaten more than one slice.
We regularly buy their sliced white bread Shokupan and I look forward to slowly making my way through their vast menu. The croissants, tarts, macarons, and sandwiches are calling!
