A wonderful selection of tea sandwiches, desserts and pastries, and tea, FogRose Atelier hit all the English tea time checkboxes.

My favorite of the three sandwiches was the smoked salmon.  It has lots of goat cheese and salmon filling without the strong fishy taste.  A close second was the chicken salad, which had perfectly shredded chicken and a tart apple topping.  The egg salad sandwich was almost a palate cleanser with simple flavors.

The main pastry on the platter was an orange scone with salted clotted cream and lemon curd sides.  Crispy and moist, the scone was a table favorite.

The desserts were more interesting to the palate.  A chocolate and caramel cookie bite was crunchy and extra chocolatey, while the mango mousse was smooth and not as sweet as expected.  The last dessert was a rose lychee macaron.  The rose flavor note was much more prominent than the lychee, and it had the classic macaron texture.

I tried three teas: Scottish Breakfast, Lemon Balm, and Chamomile.  All three were brewed well and complimented the dishes, but the Scottish Breakfast was my favorite.

This was such a cute spot to get a little fancy with friends and enjoy a variety of finger foods and desserts. I loved having the option to try all different kinds of tea since they pour by the cup here! I think Earl Grey was my favorite, but the Moroccan Mint, Chamomile, and Lychee Green Tea were all delicious.

My pick of the tower had to be the chicken salad sandwich – I loved mix of savory with the sweet cranberry spread and sliced tart apples on top. I think the desserts could have been a bit more flavorful, but I did enjoy the clotted cream on the orange scone.

A beautiful intimate space in Bellevue to gather as friends and enjoy a curated menu during afternoon tea.  I loved that I didn’t have to choose what I was eating, but that I could pick from a variety of teas and cocktails!

Like Momo, I also favored the chicken salad sandwich from the sandwich set.  The egg salad sandwich was bland for my taste, and the smoked salmon was pretty good!

My favorite of the desserts was the layered matcha mango mousse, it had much more delicate flavors than I was expecting and they joined together well.  The scone was delicious with the cream and lemon curd as well.

My favorite tea was the Scottish Breakfast tea, and I tried a punchy cocktail that was contrasting and refreshing.

Ume

From the teas that I sampled, which really consisted of English Breakfast and Earl Grey, my favorite was the Earl Grey. In an afternoon tea setting, I just have to stick with traditional flavors.

Of the savory offerings, I enjoyed the smoked salmon sandwich the most since I love a salmon and cucumber combination.

From the sweets, I also have to mention the scone. Citrus is always so lovely in a biscuit and this one was no exception.
