Substitutions
The pasta can be substituted for a gluten free option, and give your homemade balsamic vinaigrette a try! For this recipe I used Ken’s Steakhouse Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Storage
This pasta salad will last several days refrigerated in a sealed container. Keep an eye on the tomatoes and basil!
Quick 5-ingredient Caprese Pasta Salad
A pasta salad version of the classic Italian appetizer
Servings: 1 large bowl
Ingredients
- 8 ounces Farfalle pasta
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese pearls
- 10 ounces cherry tomatoes
- 1 ounce fresh basil
- Balsamic vinaigrette
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the box until al dente (tender but firm). Rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
- Chop the cherry tomatoes into halves.
- Rinse the mozzarella cheese pearls.
- Rinse the basil. Roll a few leaves together into a cylinder and chop against the stem to get ribbons.
- Add the cooled pasta, halved tomatoes, mozzarella cheese pearls, and chopped basil to a large bowl.
- Drizzle balsamic vinaigrette on top (about ¼ cup to start, and then add to taste).
- Serve immediately.
