Broiler Bay Burgers

02/01/2024 by TheDishDiary

Bellevue, WA

Broiler Bay Burgers was established in 1989 and is a straight forward “grease pit” with an old school letter board menu to match. It has classic offerings of quarter pounders, fries, onion rings, and milkshakes. Broiler Bay doesn’t try to be fancy with it’s sparse interior and it doesn’t have to be to serve up good burgers.

When we’re in the mood for no fuss, solid burgers and fries, Broiler Bay is one of the places that always comes to mind. It’s conveniently located in Bellevue which makes it easy for dining in or take away.

On our last visit we had the bacon cheeseburger, fish and chips, and fried zucchini. The bacon cheeseburger isn’t overly greasy, has all of the main condiments of mayo, lettuce, and tomato, and hits the spot for a classic burger.

The fish and chips are incredibly and amazingly crunchy. There’s no special batter or seasonings involved and they are perfection dipped in tartar sauce or ketchup.

Lastly, the homemade zucchini fries are delicious! The fresh zucchini is dipped in herby batter, fried until the outside is crunchy, and served straight from the fryer.

If you’re ever craving a beefy, greasy, old-fashioned burger then Broiler Bay is your place! Stepping into the small store is like going back in time – from the letter board menu to the written receipts – and you’re immediately enveloped in the smell of cooking burgers.

I always go for the mushroom swiss but my partner prefers a classic cheeseburger. We always order the onion rings – 1 serving is enough for two. They are perfectly fried to a crisp – seriously the best!
