Tres Sandwich

07/06/2023 by TheDishDiary

Located in Bellevue off of I-90 near Bellevue College, Tres Sandwich has been serving up Japanese-style sandwiches for almost a decade. Constructed with in-house baked bread and a variety of fillings, these sandwiches sell out in the early afternoons and are best eaten the day of purchase. The popular flavors such as miso katsu, ham and cheese, crispy chicken, and strawberries and cream are always solid choices.

To get the sandwich variety or choices you are looking for, we recommend you place an online order 24 hours in advance.

I have always loved Japanese bread so when I discovered Tres Sandwich almost a decade ago, it was a dream come true. My favorite things are some of the uniquely Japanese fillings and the bread is always soft and chewy.

My new top choice is the curry croquette. Japanese curry in a patty form covered in panko bread crumbs. And if you get a curry croquette and a pork cutlet, all of a sudden you have a curry katsu sandwich!

My partner recently tried their Loco Moco and he said it might be his new favorite sandwich offering.

Pork Cutlet– The pork cutlet sandwich is a new favorite.  With a strong tonkatsu sauce and a thick cutlet, the only thing that would make this sandwich better is a side of macaroni salad.  Definitely recommend!

Ham and Cheese– With ham and American cheese, this classic sandwich was a staple of my childhood.  The mayonnaise bread adds a slightly unique taste to an otherwise recognizable flavor.  Can’t go wrong!

I started off with the miso katsu and have gotten one every time I’ve gone, no matter what, but my favorite is the yakisoba! Chewy noodles, egg, and that bread is so nice.

They have a great variety of sandwiches that are either very light or more substantial, which is excellent for those of us that like to try more than one in a visit!

I’m also a fan of their dessert sandwiches, particularly the strawberry and chocolate cream.

Trés is your dream for Japanese sandos. Over the years we’ve tried almost every sandwich and this has become a go-to catering for parties – your guests are bound to love at least one of these flavors!

I love the shrimp cutlet and loco moco, but the egg salad is also a staple. They have also some amazing vegetarian flavors like yakisoba and curry croquette that do not skimp on flavor! The sweet sandos also hit the spot – strawberry matcha is my favorite but I want to go for the rum raisin next time. There’s always something new to try at TRÉS!
