Bobae will have you coming monthly to try their drink specials and if you’re lucky, snag a boba donut! They have locations in Woodinville and downtown Kirkland, so if you’re on the upper east side it’s well worth the stop.
The first couple times I visited I couldn’t get enough of their Sapphire Moonlight – the most lavender-forward drink I’ve ever had and I was in love! In the fall they usually bring back the Rising Phoenix which is like a pumpkin spice Thai tea cup of goodness. If you’re really feeling fancy, try it with a flaming marshmallow. I loved it so much I had to go one last time before it left for the year.
My partner tends to stick with the white chocolate ceremonial matcha which is creamy, smooth, with the perfect amount of earthy matcha flavor. I’ve always enjoyed the strawberry matcha latte as well!
This time around we got the Oreo Hojicha and Nitro Jasmine Green Milk Tea. Both drinks were delicious – I love the roasty flavor of Hojicha and the Oreos brought the perfect amount of sweetness. The nitro tea was smooth and creamy – just slightly more than other ones I’ve had but it was a solid tea flavor. I’d say you can’t really go wrong with the drinks here!
And of course, Bobae’s famous boba donuts with milk tea cream and somehow delicious chewy boba in a soft sugary donut. They also do a new flavor monthly with the donuts so good luck trying to stay away!
