Raohe Night Market is one of my favorites for its straightforward 1-street design. Whether you’re hungry after an afternoon shopping at Wufenpu or you’re craving their famous black-pepper bun this market is totally worth the trip! I dragged my partner and family here specifically to try the buns (胡椒餅 / hu jiao bing) which is conveniently located at the front.
100% recommend these crispy, charred, meaty, peppery buns. They’re so good you should probably get another as you’re leaving Raohe Night Market.
We also tried the sweet potato balls (airy fried balls of goodness) and some seared steak cubes – both of which you’ll find at most night markets.
Pro tip: if you want fresh juice at the stand but there’s a line, try ordering then shopping the whole market and coming back because ours took 40 minutes!
